Mondesi's House's parents have long since taken away the choking game. Joey Porter's Pit Bulls, on the other hand, don't let nobody tell them what they like and what they like to do.

My 16 year old son died two years ago from this choking game. It's not a game at all - it's a death trap.

Loni:
You have my heartfelt sympathy. No parent should have to lose a child.

I've never heard of such a "game," but then I don't have kids and I am not as attuned to pop culture etymology or urban jargon as some people. Gentle Whoadie 9000 is the principal writer at Just Sayin', and I generally enjoy his blog, even if I don't understand a fair portion of what he is writing about.

What I DO understand (to a degree) and am interested in is football, especially the Steelers. That particular post on Just Sayin' conceded that the Steelers' season was over already, and that it was time to consider which players on the current roster might be on the team next season. I thought it was an entertaining, creative and well-written post, and that is why I linked to it.

Frankly, I was mystified by the headline -- didn't understand it at all -- but then I often find myself scratching my head over Gentle Whoadie 9000's choice of headlines and photos, not to mention nearly all of his references to hip-hop music and cultural touchstones.

Again, please accept my heartfelt condolences. And if I offended you by linking to that particular entry, please accept my sincere apologies. I hate to think I may have inadvertently caused pain to anybody.
