"Two Trains on a Track"

During his weekly news conference today, Steelers' head coach Mike Tomlin spoke respectfully (as he always does) about the upcoming opponent and was polite to the media (as he always is).

Tomlin also was typically articulate, affable, upbeat, personable and ... businesslike. Pleasant ... but professional.

As usual he had some interesting things to say in addition to demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the opposing team.

Here are two quotes that resonated:
"If you're not getting better, I don't care what business you're in, you're a dead man."
Tomlin also replied to a reporter's question about the Jets' collective penchant for brassy talk:

"They've been pretty consistent all year about stating their intentions, which is to win a world championship. We've been pretty consistent all year about stating our intentions. So you can see where that's going to lead us. That's two trains on a track."

In other words, and this is strictly our interpretation:
"Let 'em talk all they want. So what? I don't care. Let's get it on."
