Why the Steelers Won’t Draft an Offensive Lineman in the First Round This Year
The Steelers have invested heavily in the offensive line over the
past few years. Having so much money tied up in one positional area presents salary-cap
implications for what can be done with the rest of the roster.
With two Number One draft picks (Maurkice Pouncey and David
DeCastro) and two Number Two draft picks (Marcus Gilbert and Mike
Adams), the Steelers will probably pass on an offensive lineman in the first
round this year.
