You know what annoys *me* about sports? When they aren't on. I wish I could say I watch sports for favorite players, but that's no longer the case. I watch to improve my ability to read lips.
Can you imagine what the hearing impaired must think of head coaches? Read Tom Coughlin's wrinkled out lizard lips whenever the camera panned to him? If I had procreated thus far in life, and my child had been in the room, I'd have surely covered their eyes. The guy has a mouth like a Turkish whore and yet he runs a very noble and impressive foundation for children with leukemia. I'd hate to have been Eli Manning in the locker room after last night's game...
I did enjoy watching Tom Coughlin though. Reminded me of the fire you USED to see in Bill Cowher. And I don't mean the overly-discussed jaw clenching and spittle-launching that the papers talk about. I mean the fire - the anger when things don't go the way they should and the dissapointment when guys who could do better don't do better. You see Cowher now, he shakes his head, grimaces and turns away. What's that old Kris Kristofferson line - 'Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose.' Are we watching a man who is more focused on going 6 and out (games) or 3 and out on each drive?

Towheaded Eli Manning probably liked it. It reminded of him of his childhood with daddy.
