You have the best rushing offense in the AFC, Denver has the worst defense. 1+1=2. Pretty simple, no? Something tells me that a certain "genius" coach in the northeastern part of the US would have looked "brilliant" in exploiting Denver's porous rush defense....8 men in the box, or not.

On top of that, there's just no excuse for Jay freaking Cutler scrambling for 31 yards, converting back to back 3rd and 14's, and basically looking like John Elway for the bulk of the evening.

One more thing...the loss of Aaron Smith is/was huge. His presence gives the Steelers the ability to effectively pressure the QB using just 3-4 rushers. If he is out for any extended period, he will be missed, and the defense just isn't the same without him.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-703312513658831105.post-12838237221104393222007-10-22T12:28:00.000-04:002007-10-22T12:28:00.000-04:00The game plan certainly was misconceived. And why did Hines Ward keep laughing after the dropped passes? Maybe dropping two catchable passes in a quarter is funny to him, but I'm sure the 14 point deficit they had to climb out of wasn't nearly as funny.Dr. Paul Shemphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08492902458555504507noreply@blogger.com
